As well as our regular weekend rides, Raha takes part in one-off events all over the UAE and other parts of the Middle East. These include mountain rides, visits to Oman and more. We also take part in sportives, such as the UAE's Coast To Coast Challenge. Visit our Strava page for details.

liwa

Situated in Abu Dhabi's barren Western Region, a ride through Liwa will have you wondering if you've landed on Tatooine. Its rolling dunes offer at least 800m of elevation gain, and it's home to the annual ADSC Liwa Cycle Race every January.

jebel jais

The highest mountain in the UAE at 1,934m, Jais is a three hour drive away from Abu Dhabi in Ras Al Khaimah. A European-style ascent with switchbacks galore, get ready to climb for 25km, with an average gradient of 5%.

hatta

Hatta crosses the border of the emirate of Sharjah and Oman, and features tough climbs plus coastal views. The route is used by the UAE Tour every year, and it's also home to the Coast To Coast Challenge, a 206km sportive Raha takes part in every year.

jebel hafeet

Rising 1,240m, Jebel Hafeet is Abu Dhabi's highest peak and the pros climb it every year during the UAE Tour. The ascent is around 12km long with an average gradient of 7%. Your reward is a coffee at the Mercure Hotel near the top.

Salalah is in Oman near the border with Yemen, and is a tropical paradise with banana trees, camels, and warm waters - plus climbs that have been described as the Middle East's Alpe D'Huez. Raha usually hosts a trip to the region every October.

Every December, Raha holds its most epic ride of the year: the Christmas Cracker is 320km long, and the peloton rides from Abu Dhabi to Dubai and back. The average speed of 31-32kph is strictly controlled by the ride captains throughout the day.
